We were in the area to go to the Bedgebury Christmas lights (which were amazing) and had a delicious meal at this very pretty pub in an idyllic village. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t be more accommodating.. the prices were very reasonable for such a high standard of homemade food. We had the chicken pie which had an amazing homemade gravy served with real mash and roasted veg and the chicken skin garnish was to die for. Fish and chips which was delicately battered and so tasty. Portion sizes were very generous and the Baileys crème brûlée was just the best I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely go back to check out other items on menu.

A good friendly pub with unpretentious pub food. A bit rough and ready but good value for money and welcoming.

Good proper pub grub, reasonably priced, would go back. Have been back for Sunday lunch, would certainly recommend
