Just had large cod and chips, absolutely amazing, freshly cooked to perfection, struggled to finish it but was to good not to, staff were polite and cheerful and the shop was spotless, highly recommended

The large fish and chips are as said (large fish) cooked fresh as you wait, I think very good value at £9.90.

Ordered a Large Cod & Chips. Fish was defrosted and not cooked properly. I hade to drive back and get my refund. Poor attitude from the owner giving me a can of drink for my inconvenience for wasting 40 minutes in total driving there and back twice! Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

We use Golden Fishbar quite regularly, always friendly and welcoming, and freshly cooked food. Their cod is the best!

⭐☆☆☆☆ - Disappointed with the Chips Went to Golden Fish Bar after hearing some decent things, but honestly, I don’t understand the hype. The chips were a huge letdown — soggy, pale, and completely lacking in flavour. They tasted like they’d been sitting out for ages, and there was no crispiness to them at all. No seasoning, barely warm, and definitely not fresh. For a place that calls itself a chip shop, you’d expect the chips to at least be done right. Won’t be rushing back. Also the staff...
